Keith B. Carter is a Cornell MBA, former Associate Professor at NUS School of Computing, and a member of the Bretton Woods Committee in Washington DC. At NUS, he served as Founding Director of the NUS Ripple FinTech Lab, Founding Co-Director of the Crystal Centre (deep-tech blockchain research), and creator of NUS FinTech SG, a nationally recognised mid-career conversion programme. He also taught AI, privacy, and cybersecurity at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. He is a Fellow at IE University's Centre for Governance of Change and a Board Member of DEC Institute, Zurich.
Before academia, Keith spent twelve years at Estee Lauder Companies leading global supply chain innovation. He scaled procurement from $1 billion to $3 billion, increased Return on Invested Capital from 7% to over 25%, and delivered $87 million in measurable value within nine months through AI-driven operations.
Today he delivers AI strategy and leadership programs across Asia through Emeritus, with clients including Societe Generale, Accenture, Lockton, and HPCL. His KDA (Know-Decide-Act) methodology underpins every program.
He is the author of five books: Actionable Intelligence (Wiley, 2014), Know Decide Act (2024), Playing Mental Chess with AI, and Inspired Investing: Faith-Driven Strategies for Lasting Wealth. His writing on financial services AI has appeared in the Journal of Digital Banking and the Bretton Woods Committee AI Working Group publications. He is a 2x TEDx speaker and spoke at the Legal Innovation Festival SE Asia 2026 at Marina Bay Sands. Keith lives in Singapore with his wife Stella and two sons.
